Secondly, SECE assists the UH at Manoa and the local, national, and international communities with recruitment and referrals.

The Student Employment and Cooperative Education Office (SECE) embraces the philosophy, LEARN While You Earn, and implements this by:

  • Fostering personal growth and career exploration of UHM students by integrating practical work experience with academic studies.
  • Contributing to research in student development primarily in the area of employment.
  • Serving the community by preparing students to be adaptable and productive in the workforce, as well as to be responsible citizens in our ever changing society.
  • Contributing to the internationalization of UHM by developing international work experiences.
