What kind of jobs do Co-op students do?
Students work as auditors, engineers, personnel assistants, journalists, software testers, buyers, managers, environmental assistants, teachers, and market researchers to name only a portion of our partnerships. Students focus their studies in one of 100+ academic majors at the UHM.

How much do Co-op students usually get paid?
Since Co-op students are capable of handling relatively high level task, they average about $9.00 per hour. The general range is between $8.00-$15.00, depending on the organization and the responsibilities that are involved.

How long may I expect a Co-op student to work with us?
Co-op students are asked to fulfill a minimum of two semesters (at 10-20) or a one semester full-time (40 hours per week) work term.

Co-op provides a continual pool of highly qualified, energetic, and motivated students for needed projects and initiatives. Co-op students returning to campus are public relations ambassadors and contribute positively to a company's recruitment effort and image. For employers, hiring a Co-op student serves as a low-cost training program for possible long-term employee retention.
